With a bit of a surge around micro onroad/offroad EG the new Associated RC28R, Losi Micro-b and Micro-T, and my access to a bit of indoor space, was thinking about getting some circuit tiles and doing some light hearted takeaway and race / practice nights.
I know myself and @Birchy are thinking about mini-z / RC28R and I know that @Barry303RC and myself have some Losi Micro-bs I reckon a couple more of us to hit mealdeal options at the takeaway and a couple of hours we could have some right fun, all in the name of sharpening our skills.
Would anyone else like to join in?

There are 3 possible categories for 1/28 on-road:
1 - Kyosho Mini-Z RTR (MR03 / MR04). These are brushed rear wheel drive racers that come with everything included except a timing transponder and the batteries/charger (rechargeable AAA batteries used). Total set-up cost for these is between £200 - £250
2 - Kyosho Mini-Z Brushless (MR03/MR04 EVO). These are exactly the same cars as above but have more powerful brushless motors and only come as a base vehicle. With these you also need to purchase a transmitter, receiver, batteries, charger, timing transponder, body and wheels. The initial set-up cost of this can vary significantly:
Car - £220
Body - £20-£50
Receiver - £45
Timing transponder - £25
Wheels / Tyres - £25
batteries and charger £15 - £40
transmitter - £40 - £700
3 - Other 2S 1/28 brands - There are some American companies and also Team Associated that have carbon fiber race kits available. Everything with these comes as a kit and you have to purchase all the components separately. Prices for these start from £500 upwards.

Yes! Definitely up for some of this!! I’ve even got a lap counter and some spare transponders that fit directly into the factory Losi micro-b’s 
Also built some 1/28th scale ramps that I’ve covered in carpet too that I could bring.
